Connect-ed Life

Connecting People's Lives through Experiential Education

"I had a great time at the connect house for my 8 day stay. The room was very large with lots of light, spacious chefs kitchen, and relaxing living room with TV. It's about 30 minutes by train to Tokyo station, and there are several stations all within walking distance to the house which can take you to different parts of the city. The staff were very nice and helpful, offering any help I needed. Would stay here again :)"

"I had a great stay at the connect house! It was easy to find and the staff was friendly. The apartment was very cozy and clean and My flatmate Sakiko was very warm and welcoming. I felt very much at home! Also, the station is very close and this made it easier to travel around Tokyo. I would definitely come back again! Thank you :)"

"I like the room very much! I imagined Tokyo as a noisy city, but where we live is quiet and peaceful. And roommates were all kind. Next time I go to Tokyo, I will choose connect house without hesitation. Thank you!"

"Very nice place to stay...station is near, staff is kind, the place is modern, clean and surround the quiet neighbourhood. If you want to go to centre Tokyo is easy by nearest station...thank you for connect house to make my three month stay in Tokyo comfortable."

Kajeng Baskara, Indonesia, 101C Ikegami, December 2015

"There are very nice place with nice service. Sometimes a house party was hold and the residents are free to join it. Each house only with 3to4 residents who share a living room, Kitchen and toilet. It can keep clean and good relationship within 3-4 residents."

Chan Kevin, China, 303C Ikegami, December 2015

"I have enjoyed my stay at Connect House. The staff has been attentive and helpful and the neighborhood is clean and quiet. Ota is about 15 minutes from the Tokyo city by train and the station is very closeby. There is a Family Mart down the street and a market by the train station. I am staying in an apartment with my own bedroom. There are three bedrooms in all. The room is more than adequate, fairly large with a heater and air-conditioning. I have no complaints about the comfort of the bed. There is a small kitchen with a nice refrigerator, a top two burner, and a microwave. There is also a large TV. Unfortunately there are no English speaking channels and no oven. The bathroom always has hot water for bathing, and the Japanese make fantastic toilets! They have a washing machine which also functions as slow drier."

"Everything was really good with the Connect team. I made my stay with them longer because my experience was very nice. Calm and cosy place. The house is quite close from Ikegami station, the only thing is that Ikegami is a little bit far from the center of Tokyo. Thank you for letting me stay with you."

"I was extremely tired after 20-hour flying, yet another 3-hour journey by train from Narita airport to Kugahara station. Fortunately, Connect house staff had waited and welcomed me in the nearest train station. It was such a blessing for me as I did not have to struggle finding the right place in the middle of the night. The house itself is superb. Two stories: 2 rooms in the first floors and 4 rooms in the second floors. Two western toilets (automatic) and big bathroom (shower and o-furo). The living room with huge flat TV, the kitchen, as well as the dining room are in the same room. All the facilities are correct as it is described in the information page. The location of the house is great. About 5-10 min walk to the Kugahara station. Surrounding area is also awesome. Everything you need is available in here: supermarket, convenience store, drug store, fruit shop, barber, bakery, clothing store, bank, ATM... You name your basic need and you will find it. Everything can be reached within 5-10 min walk. The day will be lively around here. You will hear and see children going here and there, playing their own game. During the night, the neighborhood is very quiet. A perfect environment to end the day. Going further to the central of Tokyo is very convenient. In less than one hour (by train), you can reach Yotsuya, Yoyogi, Shibuya and Harajuku. If you are feel too "crowded" with the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, surrounding neighborhood of Kugahara also offers great options for relaxing feeling. Many temples and local restaurants give relaxing feeling. If you want to visit Tokyo, either for travelling, sightseeing or staying longer time, I highly recommend this place."

"We stayed at this apt in September 2015 for 4 nights. We would say that we were lucky to have been accommodated to this place. For several days we made inquiry for a place to live and it was difficult to get quick response and availability was a problem. We were surprised to be so lucky to be accommodated in such a nice place, clean and just 5 minutes from Ikagemi station. It is also 1 hour to the city through Gotanda or Kamata Station. It is also close to the Haneda Airport about 1 hour. It was easy to locate the place and the host welcome us with lots of cheers and fresh flowers - which we manage to still keep them fresh during our four nights of stay. This place is excellent and it is a 'hidden' place few have realized. All facilities in the room are new and one will feel at home in this place. Its neighborhood is quite, near to Ikagemi Shopping streets with lots of international restaurants and various services. It is also good area to learn about Japanese culture as one can pass through the street and observe the real Japanese houses, etc. It is worth more than the price. I will stay in this place next time I visit Tokyo and I suggest everyone to book the place. As Academician, I would suggest this place for researchers, exchange programme visitors and consultants to this magnificent place in Tokyo. We would like to thanks the host for their excellent services during our stay to this house."

"We had 5 people in our group, and our stay was spread across 3 apartments -- with 1 full apartment, and 1 room each in 2 other apartments. Our rooms were comfortable and we appreciated the spaciousness of the apartments & bathrooms. Having a washing machine was a great plus point too!  Our stay was enjoyable. Location was lovely -- quiet & peaceful, with many convenience stores around, and a reasonable walk to the nearest train station. Great for those who want a stay in the suburbs, away from the city centre. The hosts were professional and very polite, and communication was always timely and fast."

"Excellent moment à connect house ! L'équipe gérant la réservation est vraiment sympa et disponible ! Les chambres sont vraiment à un prix très intéressant. Le mobilier est neuf et les espace commun sont nettoyés une fois par semaine ! Excellent deal je recommande vraiment ce lieu. Vous pourrez sûrement rencontrer tout comme moi d'autres locataires très sympa et partager votre expériences nippon et plus si affinité ! Si j'ai à revenir au Japon je contacterai directement connect house sans réfléchir !"

Jean Kharaly, France. 303B Ikegami, September 2015.

"The apartment is clean and neat. It reminded me of a Muji show flat. There is a washing machine with dryer. Perfect for I was drenched most days while I was there. Although a little distance from the train station, the location is convenient enough. Once I figured out the train lines, getting anywhere was easy. Neighbourhood is nice and quiet. The lady at the mini mart says hi to me everyday when I pass by. I really like that. Overall, it was a great experience."

Serena Yuin Yee, Singapore. 201C Ikegami, September 2015.

"A very nice place to stay. The room was comfortable and cosy. It has a very nice street along the train station with shops too. Great choice if are looking for something more residential."

Brian Pillai, Singapore. 205 Kugahara, September 2015.

"Overall, the experience at connect house was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. Mattress was a little soft for my liking, but that's just me nit-picking. The location is a short walking distance (< 5 min) from the Kugahara station which made it really convenient. There distance to the major sightseeing destinations in Tokyo is between 40 min to an hour tops. There's a ramen place and a supermarket beside the train station (still opened at 10am), as well as, a Lawson and a bakery a short walk from there. The neighborhood is really quiet and I was able to rest up every night for the next day. This was my first airbnb experience and it was a breeze. The communication with Lexi was really good, she answered all my questions in a timely manner. The location is easy to find with Google maps and GPS. I highly recommend anyone looking to visit Tokyo but want a quiet place to stay and rest away from the center of Tokyo."

Jackson Chung, Canada. 101 Kugahara, August 2015.

"What should i say : certainly one of the best deal i've ever seen. Very clean personal room and my own air-conditioning. Very calm and quiet neighborhood, you should definitely come here. Service haute-qualité et bien situé, n'hésitez pas !"
